keeping cool in the summer heat...

It's been in the high 80's and low 90's for the last few weeks. Occasionally a little rain, but honestly- not much. So we've been spending a lot of time at our apartment's community pool.

Our T.V. stand never matched any of the other wood items in our living room. It was more orange/red than we like- so we decided to take it apart, sand it down, stain, and finish it so we do like it and well.. we LOVE IT!!

our park adventure...(Part 2 of 3)

They started following us shortly after we started down the path.

Gabe really didn't care for the ducks following him or all the "QUACKING"

He started to lighten up and bit and even think they were pretty cool- (as long as they weren't too close- or too loud)

They were getting a little too close for Gabe's comfort again, so I had to shoo them away-

our park adventure...(Part 1 of 3)

This past weekend we went and checked out a local park, this one is different from most that we have tried. This has a few water features a stream. There's a catch and release pond and it is very popular with water fowl. I'll be posting a lot of pictures of the ducks and geese, Gabe didn't care for them walking all over the place around him but this next thing he really liked. We were walking the path when Jeremy spotted a beaver floating like a log in the stream- It was just about dusk and the pictures weren't turning out as well as I would have liked...

and once we started taking pictures and making a big deal out of him, he started to swim away but I did get a little bit of video. My favorite part has to be Gabriel's reaction to the beaver and how cool he thinks it is!!

My cousin Chris and his wife Jen just had their second little girl- Eve Julianna Babcock - born May 29, 2008 at 11 am and weighed in at 7 lb's 2oz. this is her newborn picture, isn't it too cute?!?

It looks like she's waving!! LOL!
