Day Trip up into New York...

We drove up to the OCC retail store and motorcycle showroom in New York. For those of you who don't know OCC is "Orange County Choppers" they have a show on the Discovery Channel called "American Chopper" anyway here are some of the highlights from our trip...

DAVID MANN BIKE:

This the David Mann bike, it was such an amazing bike, it's too bad that David passed away before they finished it.
(To find out more info about David Mann...)

POW-MIA BIKE:

THE ERAGON BIKE:

THIS IS A GAS TANK MAILBOX!!!!

We had a really neat time looking at all the bikes. I really liked seeing the Comanche Helicopter Bike in person, it was cool but very difficult to get a good picture of. Everything was really cool- They had all different kinds of merchandise there also. We got a few things, but seeing the bikes in person was definitely the best part!

Here's the Comanche bike I was talking about...

Cute one...

I found this picture when I was getting the rest of the pictures off one of the cameras. This was on the way home from our visit to the Philly Zoo. He looks so cute!

Philadelphia Art Museum...

We also visited the Art Museum while we had visitors- it's under construction/restoration right now so the fun pictures from the outside on the "Rocky Steps" aren't as cool as we would have liked. There are some really neat exhibits right now- they also have some really neat recreations of temples and entire Asian wing; Really cool- here's a few of the highlights...
Racing to the top!!
Jordan showing off his Rocky cheer!!
Cassie and Dad's turn! Look at Cassie posing with a fish...
There was this really cool weapons and armour section...
It was really neat!

The Asian art section was simply amazing.

A statue at the museum, I really liked this one...

This was a Chinese crystal ball with a Japanese forged iron holder that was breaking waves.

Chinese tea house roof tiles

The expression on this horses face was just too hilarious to pass up!
Jeremy grabbed a shot of the city from the Art Museum steps.

day trip to check out some local history...

This is a really neat story of a pretty eccentric guy. It's in Doylestown, PA- The Moravian Pottery & Tile Works- as well as Henry Mercer's home; Fonthill. You weren't allowed to take pictures inside which was such a bummer because the inside of both are simply phenomenal! Here are a few shots of the outside of Fonthill, and the tile works.

This the the Tiles works building- it is still a working factory...

Here's a few pictures of Fonthill...

at the bottom is the "Spring House" basically the refrigerator for the home at the time and it had water channelled into it...

There's actually a lot of neat information about this place and Henry Chapman Mercer, I'll try to get back on here to tell you more later, I just wanted to share these pictures of what is often called an American Castle.

America's First Zoo...

While family was in town for a visit we decided to take them down to see the Philadelphia Zoo! We had a great time and here are some of the highlights from our day!
Jordan, with the whole world in his hands!!

I thought the old trolley cars were cool!

Momma monkey with a baby on her back!

The Anderson Clan- Cassie got her face painted like a pirate!

I thought these frogs were too cool!!

Wow! Look at the apes! I like the one in the spiderman blanket!!

More family snapshots by the bears!

At the Philly Zoo...

Boy, Gabriel LOVES his uncle Jordan!!
They we're talking about all the really cool stuff we were seeing.
Like this totally hilarious Giraffe, he looked so cute!!
He noticed us laughing at how he has to stand to eat off the ground!

I don't think he likes to be laughed at but it's so cute!!

I really liked the African wild dogs...

The Cheetahs were really neat!
This guy just wanted to let us know he is the boss around here!

There were 6 hens around this peacock and none of them would pay him any attention...

He was trying so hard to impress the ladies! I thought he looked great!

Jeremy got a quick shot of one of the eagles.

This guy was so beautiful, he was lounging the carnivore section.

what a cute guy!!
