Gabe's "dash" in the Special Olympics
Gabe's first time competing in the Special Olympics driving himself in his power chair with head array!!
(Orange Cone/Flag is the finish line)
We are SO PROUD of you Gabe!!!
(He was the only one in this event for his age group, that's why you don't see any other competitors- he got a bright white first place ribbon!!!)
Baseball strategy with Coach Mommy ;)
talking about 3rd base running strategies... Gabe is excited he's going to score!
Mommy's explaining all the different strategies she talks to her softball players about when they're on 3rd, why there are certain "rules" for base running and how you have to follow them or you'll get out. I love that he is completely in the "why?" phase right now, he just wants to learn something about everything!!
Making friends (while making our way around the bases!!)
This young lady was AWESOME! She is a Special Olympics power lifter!! She told us that she can bench 125 lb's- You GO GIRL!!
Gabe thought she was really cool!

This young lady's name is Aubrey, she came over to introduce herself to Gabe. She was very kind and instead of waiting for Gabe to reach out to her, she slid her hand right inside his to shake his hand.
"Very nice to meet you Gabe" she said- Gabe and I both were so in to everything she had to say!

She told him he was doing a great job playing ball -
and "Good Hit" and "Good Luck, Today!"

Got in a "high-five" on the way out and another "Good Game"
I couldn't stop smiling- she was so sweet and had our attention
focused on meeting Aubrey- we almost didn't go when the next player got a hit! LOL!
