Michigan Visit (Part 1 of... Many!!)

Hi Everyone, it's been busy around here! (in a good way) and so I'm finally getting a chance to sit down and Blog it up!! Here are some pictures from our journey... more to come!!

This was taken outside of a WaWa gas station. Jeremy was inside in line while I was taking these pictures from the van. When he came out he shared this story...

There were these two big 'ol Bubba's in line in the gas station. Big and tall "truck driver" types with the big belly's and all... they were in line by Jeremy.

One of the Bubba's said to the other "I wonder what's she taking pictures of out there?" so Jeremy told them... "There's a big rainbow"

Then Bubba1 looks at Bubba2 and says... "You wanta go outside and look at the rainbow?"

and Bubba2 replies (his voice dripping with sarcasm) , " Yeah... and maybe we can hold hands while were out there!"

Sorry, there's no way for me to tell the story on here as good as it was coming from Jeremy when he walked out of the gas station. Priceless!! I almost wet my pants laughing so hard!!

feels like Michigan... and not in the good way!

This is the closest to Michigan it has been this year. Today the high is 23degrees and the low over night was 10degrees. When I put Gabe on the bus this morning- it was only 17degrees! We don't have any snow on the ground- we have had a flurry here and there but it's as cold as it has been this year today and it reminded me of February in Michigan.

Well, I spoke too soon!! The snow/wintery mix started around noon and went into the night- freezing rain, now followed by slightly warmer temperatures bringing rain and possibly more snow. Definitely starting to feel more like Michigan!

I must say- I miss the people- not the weather!!
