Our Landscaping project...

There is so much going on right now I didn't even know where to start- so I decided to go with a project that is for the most part finished!! We have struggled with the landscaping in our front ever since we moved in, first a giant rogue evergreen bush, then constant weeds cropping up in the free "mulch" provided by our HOA, and never ending decisions about what to actually do with the space. We finally sat down together (Jeremy and I) and put together a plan, went down to Lowe's and picked out the materials and dedicated the better part of two solid weekend days and a couple of evenings during the week to complete it! Here is the photo journey:

Ok, the photo above is where we started from, the pictures is actually one I took right before we bought our condo- I like it especially when we compare it to the after photo- stay tuned!!

There were several changes over the last two years, we took out one of the trees, the overwhelming bush in front of the window (I did that by the way, with my chainsaw!) There were several challenges also, diverting water away from the front of our house and extending the "porch" to make it easier with Gabe's wheelchair....so the work commenced!!

I kept making him smile for pictures, even though it was hot as heck and we were both sweating our butts off!

ripped up the old landscaping cloth, thank goodness it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be

getting to work on extending out the "porch" so we're not walking in the flower bed to get around Gabe's chair.

Say "Cheese!" pretend you're having fun!!

get to work with those supplies!!

sweaty and looking like crap- a small dose of my own medicine! "Cheese!"

End of day one, finishing clean up in the dark!! Made a lot of progress but still a LONG way to go!!
