We bought a Condo!

Most of you know we bought our first home back in November of 2009, I'm not making any more apologies for how slack I have been about Blogging- I'm just going to pretend like it didn't happen and start posting pictures and stories about our life!!

We found a place in Towamencin Township, it's in a nice community and we live on a circle drive which is nice, very little to no traffic at all. It's in the school district where I currently work and it's right down the road from Gabriel's school which is AWESOME. The drive to work isn't too bad for Jeremy (that is when they don't have all the roads shut down around us for construction!) LOL! I don't really have many pictures of the outside, we were planning on taking more after I have had the chance to work on the flower beds, etc but I do have a couple from when we were buying it I can share...

This is our place:

This is taken from the front door area looking outward at our yard/community:
I'll definitely post more later, I think I have a folder somewhere on the computer that has more in it somewhere.

It was a long and hard journey getting us to this house, we needed something that was flat, handicap accessible and big enough to accommodate not just Gabe and all of his equipment, but also Jeremy and I comfortably. Not to mention the fact we live so far away from everyone, we really wanted something with enough room for company to stay comfortably when visiting.

This place did it for us! It's just shy of 1900 square feet. There are two bedrooms, and a full bathroom downstairs (stay turned for the very exciting remodel that will be happening over the summer!!) then we have three bedrooms and two full baths upstairs. We got a good deal on the place, the lady who owned it was renting it out to a huge family, to be honest it was probably a pretty extended family living in it since it is pretty roomy- and needless to say, the renters did not take good care of it. (pictures of before and after remodel stuff are coming I PROMISE)

It definitely needed work, and it still needs work, but it's ours and we're very excited to do much of the work together :) We've had family visits to help with some of the work and also the move, and I'll post that stuff soon as well. There were many unpleasant surprises that started us off in this place but we made the best of them and are moving forward excited to continue making this place our home.

The picture below was from right at the beginning of the first storm we had this last winter. (stay tuned for the winter weather posts, they are on the way soon!!) We got hit with two big storms in about a one week period. At one point there was a total of just about four feet of snow on the ground when they came to start digging it out! Anyway, it's just another front shot of our condo to share:

Stay tuned- I'm going to keep posting a little more every chance I get!
