Home safe and back to the grind!

Hello All! We're back from our Michigan visit. It was great to see everyone but we're glad to be home- Gabe and Jeremy both came back with colds and I'm starting to feel a little under the weather myself. Bare with me for a few days and I'll get some of the pictures and video from our visit posted. Until then- thanks for checking in!! - Kari

Headed back to Michigan

After I take my test (you know, the PRAXIS test I keep complaining about) on November 18th- we're going to head out for Michigan. We'll leave probably around 12 or 1pm that day. We are planning on staying through Friday or Saturday, depending on the weather, traffic, and if we get to see everyone we want to. Hope we get to catch up with those of you who are in Michigan and available. I'm excited for a little family vacation time- I'm definitely excited I will be done with the test and can focus on whatever I want while we're gone!
Take care, I'll write more later- Kari

Our little monster- It's popsickle time!!

Gabe is always so proud anytime he eats something all by himself- this DELICIOUS popsickle is no exception. I just thought he looked so cute chowin' down on his favorite treat!! Go Gabe!!!

Speaking of pride, take a look at that grin!!

My artist's hard at work

Daddy & Gabe just love drawing - it's one of their special things they do together. I snapped a quick shot while they weren't paying attention.
This blog has really helped me to get the camera out and capture these moments- hope you all enjoy! -Kari Posted by Picasa

Update....

Well, I had my interview with Souderton School District on Wednesday for the substitute teaching position. I got it, and can start taking positions next week. They have this really cool online system so I don't have to wait for someone to call me, and I don't have to say no to a person if I have stuff going on.

I had to have a TB test, they require them for working in schools in PA. I am such a baby- it really hurt. She stabbed me and that was really no big deal, but then when she put the stuff in my arm- OUCH!!! Now I have to wait until Monday and go back to have her "read" the results. She said it like it was a pregnancy test or something. If there one pink line it's negative, if there's two, well then now you're in trouble! (just kidding) Yeah, so anyway- I'm being a big wuss about the TB thing-

I should get back to studying, (PRAXIS test ya know!)
I'll write more later. -Kari

WHAT A CUTIE!!

Hey it's Spidey! Posted by Picasa

SPIDERMAN!!

HE WOULDN'T STOP CRACKING UP AT ME! I SWEAR, I'M NOT ALWAYS TRYING TO BE GOOFY- BUT OUR SON SURE THINKS I'M A GOOF BALL!

It's a bit chilly out today, only getting in the mid 50's but Gabe had a ton of fun at the "Fall Festival" at school.
We haven't decided yet about taking him to some of the parties over the weekend and next week. We were thinking it might be a nice way to meet some of the people around here especially since our complex is having one.
It really depends on the weather- on if we're actually going anywhere, but we wanted to make sure and share our photo's of the little webslinger!! Posted by Picasa

Our Little Spiderman!

"Isn't he just adorable!!" (totally busted flirting with Mom!)

He is such a good little guy- and what a ham!
He's cracking up and shooting webs everywhere!
POOSSSSSHHH - SWOOOOSSHHHH!!... let the webs fly Spidey!!Posted by Picasa

Up and running...

I think it's all set now. I'm pretty sure all the links are going and everything is up and running. If anyone runs into problems view photo's or videos.... email me karidanderson@comcast.net and I will fix it ASAP! I hope you all enjoy! It's my plan to try and post at least 2-3 times a week and keep everyone filled in on our daily goings on. Hope you all like it! -Kari

Studying and Studying....

I've been studying for my PRAXIS test the last few weeks. I have my test on November 18th. You know there's a part of me that is really annoyed by this process. I understand they need to make sure I know my stuff- but I did take the MTTC test, and I did receive TWO degrees. You would think that may count for something! (whew, I feel much better now- I really needed to vent about that!)
Anyway, I'm studying because in all honestly I'm a little bit scared! Since we've moved I've been sorting, cleaning, doing dishes, laundry, and taking care of Gabriel- therapies and school, you know etc, etc, etc- But I really haven't thought much about Earth Science or Social Studies. I know I'll be fine, and I know that I do actually know this stuff- but there's a small part of me that is like "Oh my God! What if I don't pass the stupid Pennsylvania version of the test" Anyway, thanks for listening- I really needed to get that off my chest! Back to weather... I'm reviewing my clouds: Cirrus, Stratus, Cumulus, Nimbus...wish me luck!!-Kari

Hi, my name is Kari, and I am a dork.

I would like to apologize in advance for how extremely dorky I sound in all of the Gabe videos. I realize now that I should most likely be severely punished for talking at all on tape! What's worse is it's not just when I'm talking to Gabe that I sound all goofy- but yes folks.... I talk that way to myself and the camera. It is a moment of great shame for me and I appreciate your support and love during this time of revelation. (ok, nuff said!) -Kari

Weather finally changing...

Well, for the last few weeks we've been enjoying the mid 60's and low 70's most days. It has been a bit chilly at night but really has been warming up quite nice during the day. That's over (for now anyway) and I can't really complain. It's in the 50's today and will be for the next few days, but it's not even close to freezing, even at night. The leaves are changing and it's really beautiful outside, I'm hopeful the fall weather will last for a while. Autumn is my favorite season and so far Philly has not disappointed. I'll have more to say later- Kari

Deer this morning

There were three deer outside this morning when I went to the van to get Gabe's chair. The path along the back of the property along the bird sanctuary is a popular route for them. They usually come through in the morning and then again around 3 o'clock in the afternoon. I got a little video of them this morning- check it out!! -Kari

Getting Started

Hello! I've been planning on doing this since we moved and I'm finally getting around to it! We'll see how quickly I can get it all up and running. I'm really hoping this makes keeping in touch more interesting and fun for everyone! With that said I am off to start organizing my content before the little boy wakes up. The entire thing should be a go by this weekend... I HOPE!! -Kari
